Sarah Martin writes fiction and lives in Co. Wexford.
Sarah Martin thought she would be a GP forever. In 2004 while living in New Zealand she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, which progressed over some years to the point at which she no longer felt able to work. With her avidity for words and reading, and with time now on her hands, she decided she had no excuse not to write. In 2019 she completed her first novel. In 2020 she was longlisted for the Colm Tóibín International Short Story Award. She lives in Wexford, Ireland with her partner Elena and two Labradors.
